Did you pack that yourself?

Image of sweets and savouries found in my luggage when unpacking...
Dear Gentle Reader,

When relocating comestibles, it is always nice to know what you are carrying...

Today I unpacked the remaining suitcase... and these images document what I found...

I guess I can upwardly revise the chocolate, marzipan, and other goodies' estimates...

Tschuess,
Chris and a happily surprised Pommes who has already torn into a Vollkorn Sauerteig package with glee...

Image of more sweets than were unknowingly 'relocated' by your humble scribe...

Dear Junosmom,

My thoughts precisely, once I realized that the 'surprise' comestible contraband in no way compared with the wine and cheese that I already knew I was hauling back...

Chris, did you take an empty suitcase to fill it up with goodies from Europe? I am amazed you brought so much home.

BTW, it's a good thing you posted a comment on my blog, because I had deleted your blog from my favorites when I thought you'd stopped updating it!!! Happy to say your blog is back on faves. Mahalo!

Wow, Gigi in Hawaii, didn't you even want to stick around to see if he'd been abducted by Somalians? (Germans just doesn't sound as romantic.)

Junosmom, haha, I am the impatient type.

We knew he'd come back . . . .
we lit a candle . . . Aloha

Gigihawaii,

I also was amazed; its existence was a mystery to me too. Hence the title. This, apparently, is what Heroines do when scribes are not watching...

As to bags, many bags were emptied in Europe as various things were stored and moved. We have just moved to Hong Kong from Geneva a few months ago.

The number of bags I carry on any leg of a trip seems to be fluid. The airlines certainly think the number is fluid, so I try to go with the flow and pay less attention myself, too.

Glad to be back on the faves list.

Junosmom,

Thanks for the vote of support.

Cloudia,

Thanks for the candle. Presumably Naomi Klein would advocate putting a pop or a computer out too...

Heidelweiss,

Anytime the CEO of BL Enterprises wants to show up in HK (scribe is welcome too), do so. Views of HK are found on the first few entries... And you now have a good idea what is in the pantry, even if your humble scribe did not when he hauled it through customs and excise.

Tschuess,
Chris

German sweets are divine, and you implied you didn't know what was in the suitcase...

Barbara,

I hadn't a clue. And they are.
